Very pleasant, tastefully appointed room with a view. Slightly less expensive because of smaller en-suite facilities. Lots of storage space. A lovely view of parkland through the palm trees. The price reflects the smaller en-suite facilities.
Small, cosy, en-suite single room with plenty of storage space, good size shower.
Our delicious English or continental breakfast is freshly prepared to order and served from around 07:45 until 09:30. A vegetarian option is available. Eggs are from a local farm, and the bacon and sausages from the local butcher. Everything is of the highest quality, and this is reflected in our guests' comments. We are happy to accommodate guests who require an earlier start. For dining out, we can recommend some wonderful places to eat. Torquay is a truly gastronomic experience, and not necessarily expensive.
The hotel is within walking distance of the town centre and shopping areas, and is close to the station. When entering the outskirts of Torquay from the direction of Exeter and Newton Abbott, look out for a Halfords sign at a traffic light junction. In front you will see a sign for Cockington Country Park, directing you to the right fork, heading down Avenue Road. At the next set of lights, drive straight on for a few hundred metres until you see another sign for Cockington. Bampfylde Road is immediately on the left, past this sign. The hotel is a few metres up on the right. Should you be arriving by train, exit via the station's front entrance, turn left, and follow the road around to the right until you reach the traffic lights. Turn left into Avenue Road. Bampfylde Road is a couple of hundred metres on the right.
